What a rainy day it was yesterday! We caught 12mm of rain in our raincatcher! The sky looks quite clear at the moment so hopefully it won't rain as much today.

Yesterday we put out our rain catcher for the first time. We checked it after 6 hours and saw that we had collected 8mm of rain! We have put it out again this morning and we think it's quite likely that it will rain again today.

Unfortunately sunshine doesn't stick around for long in the north of England! Today it is very grey and rainy. Some of us are happy that we will be able to splash in puddles on our way home, but most of us are not looking forward to indoor play and would rather be outside.

What a lovely day to start our weather blog. It is hot and sunny. We have enjoyed playing outside at lunchtime, taking our cardigans and jumpers off, sunbathing and playing football.
